5 Style Curators to Follow for Fall Fashion

Shona Sanzgiri / October 29, 2015

Is fall the best time for fashion? More layers means more seasonally appropriate touches: a chunky cardigan, a light jacket, maybe a scarf. Before it gets any colder and you’re left with nothing to wear, get some fall fashion inspiration on Flipboard from these five style curators:

Olga Montserrat: What makes style blogger Olga Montserrat stand out from her peers is her devotion to detail—it’s just one of her duties as an art director at PR agency Edelman. Speaking about her blog, 12:04, Montserrat told us how she balances an eye for intrigue with a lack of pretension, a rare feat for someone so admiring of haute couture.

Gear Patrol: Finding cool stuff is what Gear Patrol does best, and that includes guys’ clothing. GP’s exhaustive criteria is exceptional, taking into account price point, durability and trends. It’s like having a personal stylist—except this one drives a motorcycle.

Lucy Sykes & Jo Piazza: These two go hand-in-hand. Individually they are Lucy Sykes, former fashion director at Marie Claire, and Jo Piazza, managing editor of Yahoo Travel (click on each for our interviews with the ladies one-on-one). Together they are the authors of The Knockoff, a book about fashion, tech and careerism from two very different, but ultimately complementary perspectives. In their magazine, you get both of their takes on fashion and life in one stylish package.

Valet: If men supposedly don’t ask for directions, will they ask for ideas about what to wear? Enter Valet: from the safety of a screen, dudes can find inspiring work outfits, track the best daily deals and even get a roundup of fun, not exactly “newsworthy” stories from the week.

Nerida Lennon: A former model, Nerida Lennon quit the glamorous life after learning about the not-so glamorous means of clothing manufacturing. Lennon has since become an “ethical fashion advocate,” received the British Council’s Big Green Idea grant and written for The Guardian. Her Flipboard Magazines highlight socially and environmentally-focused stories from the fashion industry—with outfits to match.
