BYOD? Ways to Go Paperless with Flipboard
Jenn de la Vega / September 10, 2015
Many schools are experimenting with “bring your own device” to make the classroom more flexible and dynamic. If your school allows it, here are ways to go paperless with Flipboard:
- Compose questions about current events and have students react in the comments.
- Put together a reading list.
- Conduct research for homework or reports (especially if the library is booked).
- Create quick presentations.
- Practice a language or memorization with mobile flash cards.
- Collaborate on a study hall playlist.
- Keep a recipe box for quick and healthy school lunches.
- Encourage seniors to start documenting their final year with a digital yearbook.
- Dive deep on a subject with topic pages.
- Protip! If you have a computer lab or library terminals, consider setting your browser’s homepage to a topic page, like biology. That way, whenever you open a new window or tab, you’ll see the latest flips and news about that subject.
How else do you use Flipboard in the classroom? Tell us with the hashtag #FlipEDU.
